“With you, I am me” – unknown

The Oakland House is a well preserved 1800s white limestone mansion of European influenced architecture that enhances the lovely tenderness of the flowering orchards and gardens. The covered veranda provided a serene ambiance for an intimate meal amongst the smells of freshly cut lavender, anemone, lisianthus and orchids. We were inspired by the varied tones and refreshingly pure energy found in the essence of lavender. Accents of soft hues of ivory, blush, beige and purple created the perfect composition of whimsical aged European beauty.

With a table set for two, custom ombre dyed napkins were set atop embossed rimmed dinnerware and blanched knotty pine chargers. A distinguished family monogram table runner and poetry adorned rose bottle were our finishing touches to this enchanting day. The bride’s romantic lace overlay gown layered over a pristine silk ivory slip accentuated her loosely gathered stems in an exposed lantern bouquet. The ensemble was complete with a custom crystal adorned fringe belt and complimentary cuff.
