Being able to bring two very distinct spaces together for this wedding was exciting. Both Elaine and Dan are born and raised in St. Louis, so an icon was always going to be on the agenda. The historical art deco inspired Jewel Box features a soaring structure and many tropical plants with magical foliage. We chose this space for its ethereal qualities to bring a sense of quiet to the reverence of marriage vows. The primarily glass structure offered such an iridescent and clear view  of the sky that we wanted to ground the space by adorning the aisle and the alter with florals. For the reception, we wanted it to feel like Elaine and Dan were inviting everyone over for a dinner at their place. Sophie’s Lounge had slate aged concrete floors, exposed brick and rich wood furniture that we softened with velvet and lighter toned textures. They danced the night away on the adjacent patio as the sun went down over the city they love.
